The Department of Nuclear Engineering offers a number of scholarships to its undergraduate students:

  • E. Gail de Planque Scholarship
    Two E. Gail de Planque Undergraduate Scholarships scholarships for up to $9,000 per year are available for Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Health Engineering students. These scholarships will cover tuition, fees and books. There is a required minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be considered full-time and to receive a scholarship. Out-of-state tuition is waived for these scholarship recipients.

  • Endowed Scholarships
    Several generous supporters have endowed scholarships of varying amounts to benefit undergraduate students in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Health Engineering. The Nuclear Engineering Scholarship and Fellowship Committee selects the award recipients based on requirements described in this chart. All students are considered. Students do not apply for these awards.

  • Stinson Scholarship
    The Stinson Scholarship Program provides $10,000 scholarships to highly qualified students in our department, and the department also provides a large number of smaller scholarships.

  • TAMU Nuclear Engineering Scholarship Program funded by the US NRC
    The NRC-Sponsored Undergraduate Scholarship Program offers scholarships for up to $10,000 per year for Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Health Engineering students. These scholarships will cover tuition, fees, books and supplies. The exact scholarship amount for each student will vary because tuition and fees are determined by the number of credit hours per semester. There is a required minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be considered full-time and to receive an NRC-sponsored scholarship. Out-of-state tuition is waived for NRC Sponsored Undergraduate Scholars.
